Between June and August, when central heating shutdowns and water discharges from municipal heating networks are standard, a large-scale program to reconstruct municipal boiler houses and heating networks will begin in the Chui region. The project’s main objective is to completely upgrade the aging infrastructure and improve its reliability. Many sections of the region’s heating networks were commissioned in the 1980s and have long since exceeded their service life. Their dilapidated condition leads to significant heat loss and frequent interruptions in hot water supply. The reconstruction will replace the outdated pipelines with new ones designed for decades of trouble-free operation.

This heating shutdown season, reconstruction of the main networks is planned. Work will focus on the most deteriorated sections. In addition to the networks, the municipal boiler houses themselves will be reconstructed. They will be equipped with modern, high-efficiency equipment, which will not only improve the quality of heat supply but also significantly reduce consumption. The modernization program is closely linked to the digitalization of Kyrgyzstan’s entire energy infrastructure. Plans in the Chui Region include installing smart electricity meters. Experience from previous years has shown that the implementation of such systems can reduce electricity losses by 1.3% and halve the number of customer calls. Similar digital heat monitoring and metering solutions will also be integrated into new heating systems.

Creating a reliable and trouble-free heating system capable of stable operation during peak loads in the autumn and winter, and ensuring energy efficiency are the main objectives of the innovations, in addition to network maintenance, for the summer of 2026.
