Relations between Kyrgyzstan and the People’s Republic of China have reached a new qualitative level. While previous cooperation was primarily limited to trade operations, the focus has now shifted toward the implementation of major industrial and infrastructure projects.

  • Industrial Breakthrough: Both nations are actively developing joint production sites. Specifically, discussions are underway regarding the creation of an industrial technology park by Minshan for household appliance manufacturing, as well as the launch of new processing plants.
  • Energy and Technology: Under the “Belt and Road” initiative, the modernization of the energy sector continues. A significant step has been the integration of Chinese industrial technologies and the advancement of a “green” economy.
  • Education and Human Resources: Joint laboratories and “Luban Workshops” are successfully operating within the country’s leading universities, training specialists for high-tech industries.

As of early 2026, China firmly maintains its status as Kyrgyzstan’s largest trading partner. Trade turnover between the two countries continues to show steady growth, and the volume of direct Chinese investment into the republic’s fixed capital in 2025 reached a record high for recent years.

Experts note that the transition to long-term investment projects will ensure the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan’s economy, create thousands of new jobs, and strengthen regional security.
