Kyrgyzstan continues to actively support medium-sized businesses. In 2026, the government plans to significantly increase funding for this sector: while approximately 300 million soms were allocated for support last year, this figure will reach 1.5 billion soms this year. These funds will be channeled through the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, which will expand business opportunities and create new jobs.
Government support includes not only increased funding but also tax breaks and the launch of a long-term strategy for the development of small and medium-sized businesses through 2030. This strategy includes measures to create conditions for sustainable business growth, including:
Preferential lending: The interest rate on loans for small and medium-sized businesses will be 6% per annum, significantly below market conditions. Loans will be provided for terms of up to 60 months, with a grace period of up to 6 months.
Diversity of instruments: Support will be provided to both individual entrepreneurs and legal entities operating in various industries, including manufacturing, tourism, IT, and healthcare. This will allow for a broad range of entrepreneurs to be reached and stimulate the development of various economic sectors.
State program: Under the National Development Program through 2026, public-private partnership projects will be implemented, specialized business zones will be created, and modern technologies, such as electronic licensing, will be introduced.
